Shopping cart software developer Pinnacle Cart (pinnaclecart.com) said this week that it has released the latest version of its e-commerce software, adding functions around administration and credit card encryption.

Pinnacle Cart 360, launched Monday, incorporates a long list of new features, including "product zoom and magnify," integration with Google Checkout, additional support for payment gateways, "encrypted credit card storage," gift certificate functions and quite a few others.

A complete list of the new features and descriptions is available from the 360 announcement page on the Pinnacle Cart website.

The company says the new version also marks the software's achievement of gold certification from Parallels (parallels.com) using that company's Application Packaging Standard format to make Pinnacle Cart compatible with its control panel and automation technology.

Pinnacle Cart was among the presenters at the partner event held by Parallels in May 2008.

"With this latest version, Pinnacle Cart is poised to capture a larger share of the online shopping cart market," says Mike Auger, president of Pinnacle Cart, in the press release announcing the new version. "Pinnacle Cart 360 dramatically improves functionality for existing customers while also providing substantial advantages over competitive products for those looking to establish an e-commerce presence."
